2018 a AtualAbordagens Tecnológicas para Conter Desinformação em Rede Sociais
As eleições americanas de 2016 colocaram em dúvida a crença de que as redes sociais vieram para trazer o ideal libertário e a democratização. As redes sociais se tornaram palco para uma verdadeira guerra de informações em períodos eleitorais. Como as redes sociais são ambientes em que as pessoas influenciam e são influenciadas, há muito espaço nessas plataformas para que o marketing político possa atuar de forma abusiva. Em particular, nos EUA, as estratégias de marketing político abusaram de propagandas impulsionadas no Facebook tornaram o debate sobre as eleições americanas um verdadeiro caos. A rápida difusão e ampla propagação de informação são propriedades de redes sociais que podem ser abusadas para fins de propaganda não solicitada, interrupção de comunicação legítima ou mesmo a realização de campanhas de manipulação de opinião através dessas plataformas. Redes sociais tem sido um ambiente propício para o espalhamento de boatos ou calúnias e muito pouco se sabe sobre a credibilidade da informação que se espalha nesses sistemas. Nesse contexto, esse projeto apresenta uma proposta para mitigar esse grave problema buscando trazer transparência para as campanhas políticas realizadas nas redes sociais.

2017 a AtualDinâmica da Informação em Redes Sociais Complexas
Para estudar os diversos fenômenos relacionados à dinâmica da informação difundida nas redes sociais e explorar essas oportunidades de pesquisa e inovação, estamos propondo um projeto que visa desenvolver modelos, algoritmos e novas tecnologias que permitam aumentar a integração e comunicação desses sistemas com a sociedade, tornando mais efetiva e mais segura a distribuição de informação, e mais eficazes e eficientes os seus serviços, de forma a proporcionar um vetor de mudanças sociais e econômicas não só no País, mas no mundo.

2015 a AtualMasweb - Modelos, Algoritmos E Sistemas Para Web
O objetivo do projeto é desenvolver modelos, algoritmos e novas tecnologias que permitam aumentar a integração da Web com a sociedade, tornando mais efetiva e mais segura a distribuição de informação, e mais eficazes e eficientes os seus serviços, de forma a proporcionar um vetor de mudanças sociais e econômicas no País. As atividades do projeto compreendem atividades relacionadas à pesquisa, à formação de recursos humanos e à transferência de conhecimento para a sociedade e para o setor empresarial.
