2019 a AtualCiência de Dados Reprodutível
O objetivo deste projeto é desenvolver workflows de análise interativos, reprodutíveis e escaláveis na forma de ferramentas que proveem estimadores de qualidade e de incerteza sobre a análise. Esta combinação entre prática e teoria habilita o analista a entender os comportamentos escondidos em conjuntos de dados complexos em sistemas dinâmicos de larga escala, e chegar a conclusões com confiança. Serão consideradas várias técnicas da teoria da informação, ciência de dados e metodologias de workflow e alto desempenho para se atingir este objetivo. Isto tomará forma através de investigações que levem em conta o eixo de colaboração complementar entre os pesquisadores franceses e brasileiros, do baixo nível (blocos de análise) até o alto nível (metodologias de workflow).

2019 a AtualOptimization of Exascale Systems
O projeto procura através de diversas técnicas o melhoramento do desempenho e do consumo de energia de sistemas de computação que possuam condições de processar exaflops, sistemas Exascale. Estuda-se especialmente sistemas que possam processar aplicações HPC, High Performance Computing, aplicações que necessitam capacidade de processamento de alto desempenho. Estas técnicas empregam tanto melhoramentos no hardware como no software básico.

2019 a AtualOtimização Computacional de Códigos de Inversão de Dados
Projeto de pesquisa tem como objetivo investigar, propor, e implementar provas de conceito de soluções e técnicas que visem melhorar o desempenho computacional e a qualidade dos resultados obtidos na abordagem de processamento de dados de problemas inversos.

2018 a AtualHarnessing Cloud Computing to Power Up HPC Applications
In this research project, our main goal is to explore opportunities for symbiotic, coordinated use of HPC and cloud computing infrastructures. The idea is, starting from an HPC infrastructure such as the ones in place in BRICS member countries, to identify cloud computing aspects that could be explored to provide a far-reaching, flexible (e.g., in terms of adaptation to fluctuating demands), secure and efficient environment for running HPC. We will focus on devising models, algorithms and mechanisms to help users in having access to a suitable execution platform (built on top of open source-based developments) for running their applications, in those scenarios in which users? own infrastructure is missing or lacks required resources. As an integral axis of the project, we will also investigate how different big data, science-related applications can be modeled so as to perform adequately when executed on top of the proposed hybrid environment..

2017 a AtualGREEN CLOUD - Cloud and Sustainable Computing
O objetivo geral deste projeto é o de criar uma estrutura de nuvem para a pesquisa acadêmica e científica no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul voltada ao suporte ao Processamento de Alto Desempenho (PAD). Sensível às demandas de uso racional das fontes energéticas, questões relacionadas ao uso consciente da energia pelos recursos de processamento deverão ser tratadas, materializada em soluções de escalonamento e distribuição de carga nesta nuvem.
